I've got friends at Port Hueneme who tell me they expect to be washed out to sea if it doesn't let up soon.

It's been raining here for a week (!!!) and I still haven't found my umbrella. Fortunately I have coats with hoods. I don't know how much rain we've had because the gauge is broken butit's got to be 5" or better. For us, that's a heck of a lot. I saw a few spots of sunlight earlier today, really lifted my spirits, but it's allblack again. It's got to end soon! Fortunately that'snot too often. On Wed, Dec 22, 2010 at 5:35 PM, Daryl <dp2413@comcast.net> wrote:No time, since I'm leaving soon. There are no ski/sport stores closeby. The closest is REI in Atlanta. Normal stores here don't stock "real'winterclothes since nobody knows what they're for and won't buy them.Had I thought of this earlier, I would have ordered from Land's End orLLBean, as I used to do. After 30 years in the south, I have dumpedalmost allof my cold weather gear except for an old down jacket from Land's End.There's a reason I moved south!
