I don't know about the elementary schools in Beaufort, but one of the high schools has a turf management program and much of their grounds is a golf course, which I think is neat.

Caroline's elementary school has a beautiful courtyard here that is planted with native flowers, grasses, etc, done by the students. It's gorgeous. It used to be just concrete apparently.

Ms. Fatma's school has a large garden for the kids. The school has also recruited the local garden club to provide tutoring in planting and growing. The kids have really done an amazing job with it, even assembled a drip system to irrigate it.
