When I had a business cell phone, it was aggrivating. Someone alwayscalling. The one I have now is fine and can keep me in touch with friends and family. I didn't port the number when I switched companies, so....I also took the long distance off my home phone since long distance is free with the cellphone. They are great in emergency situations and everyone should have one for that.IMHO Donna --- On Mon, 2/23/09, james singer <inlandjim1@q.com> wrote: From: james singer <inlandjim1@q.com> Subject: Re: [CHAT] OT: cell phones To: gardenchat@hort.net Date: Monday, February 23, 2009, 9:34 AMMe too. I've got a cell phone but never use it. Can't ever remember how to turn the damn thing on. Got it for the trip out here and used it twice, Ithink, to call my sister and let her know when to expect me. Andseeing people walk down the street, or worse, drive down the highway at great speed, talking on the things just makes me furious. And if you canhear them talking, often they are just saying something like "well,I'mwalking down the street in front of the book store." I do own one of the simplest sort that I keep in my handbag in case Ihave trouble on the highway, but I have only used it a couple of timesin the more than a year I've had it. Don't keep it turned on, andhaven'tgiven the number to anyone. I try to remember to keep it charged. Guess I'm just a Luddite, or blame it on old age.
