Re: 61-degree heat wave

Another note about chicory - Cafe du Monde in NOLA still blends chicory in
their world famous coffee. It's too harsh for me, though.  Even though I
always drink my coffee black, I can't drink theirs black.  So, Cafe au lait
it is!
Then there was the coffee shortage in the depression - or was it during the
war? I don't know, wasn't born yet - when chicory was readily used as a
coffee substite.  I think you can still buy Postum.
