Re: Thoughts about new Heronswood Web site

I do miss Heronswood's long plant lists after a search from which you'd select the item to view. It is too Burpish now.

The main thing I really dislike is that they do not give their pot sizes anymore. They used to list things like d2 and somewhere on the site you could find out what d2 means. Now they tell you that you're getting one plant. I've searched the FAQs, Ordering Info, Our Plants, Shipping, Purchasing Information areas to no avail. This is very important to me. When I can't find it, i get suspicious that they are hiding the fact that they are planning to send you a seedling. ;+)

Subject: [CHAT] Thoughts about new Heronswood Web site

As I start designing my Web site and online catalog I'm thinking about
different approaches that I can take.

As you know, I designed/managed Heronswood's Web site for a number of
years, but this year Burpee took over the site.

For those of you familiar with the old site I'm curious what you think
is good and bad about the new one that I can apply to my site and others.

I obviously already have my own opinions that I'll share later -- I'm
curious what some of you guys think.

Their site is at

  http://www.heronswood.com/
