Re: ISP Change

Have to say the support from Dish Network was excellent, as has been the support from DirecTV since we switched--although we've had precious little reason to need TA with either service.

Time-Warner...well, there must be terabytes of documented complaints
about Time-Warner on the internet...and if I had time, mine would be
part of them. What kind of customer support doesn't know if there's an
outage, doesn't know if there's scheduled maintenance, claims not to
have a complaint escalation process, and whose only half-hearted offer
of assistance is to send out a cable repairman when it's obviously not a
cable problem? Obviously they are meant to be a firewall, not support.

Same here. I enjoy Comcast. I've used them for TV and internet for
about 5 yrs and have had no real problems. Their customer service has
been wonderful, even helped me with issues that weren't related to their
service.
Their prices seem about the same as Verizon for internet, though Verizon
is cheaper for phone. I keep seeing these commercials for the
competition with people saying they've been terribly abused by cable,
but I just don't understand what the problem is. Yes, I think the price
is too high, but they're all too high.

My parents have Comcast Cable and Internet and have never had a single
problem. I guess it depends on where you live.

Comcast is the reason we have DirecTV.

Oh yes- it drove me crazy. We changed to Dish Network for TV, and

often with no other choices in the past- bad news everytime. My
condolences.

Comcast has replaced our local Time-Warner cable. I hope it
doesn't

changed
by a
company?
