Thanks Kitty! I may be calling on you for help. I'm hoping the pesticides class is lots of memorization and knowledge of what kills what rather than calculations. I am very interested in both of the subjects so I'm hoping that makes a big difference. The text books should be here early next week.

Andrea,I know that your Pesticides & Soil Physics classes will be far different than mine were but as the subject matter will be the same, I can contribute a little here. I thought Soils would be difficult and when I got my materials for the class it scared me because I've always thought I was a mess when it came to any science class. However, I found it so VERY interesting becuase it was a science that I could really apply, one that made me really want to KNOW it. I had to work at it, but suddenly physics and chemistry made sense, at least in this venue. It was exciting! Pesticides, on the other hand, was a shorter course and just seemed to be memorization for the most part. You will do fine. But, I keep giving myself pep talks about how I'll get through it! LOL! Froze again last night. I have so much stuff that is just black. Most of it will come back but I'm a bit concerned about a couple of things. Interestingly enough, my fishtail palm seems totally unaffected. It was too big to bring in the house so I wrapped the base of it tightly in a blanket. The leaves look fine! I knew it could take fairly cold temps but had no idea it would brave below 28 degrees. You'll be fine, and a bunch of them will be, too. All my stuff has frozen and keeled over. It's been below 28 the past two nights and will be again tonight, then it's supposed to be 70 on Sunday. I guess I'll use that day to cut everything back. I start my LAST semester in grad school on Wednesday so I need all positive thoughts turned in my directions. I have to take Pesticides, Soil Physics, AND study for my oral defense in March. Yipes. I'm terrified. So, there ya are, That is my life for the next 5 months. Hope you are all well!
