I'm sure you're right about its invasiveness in the southern regions, but up
here in its northern reaches I believe it would be just fine. I am willing,
should I get the opportunity, to test it with first-hand experience and
report back!

You should know that this plant is considered a pest in many parts of the
country, including Tennessee. I've never seen a berry on mine, but I've
kept an eye out.
