voles


Well, they say you can treat the perimeter of your property with castor oil.
Initially, when I had voles and no young cats I used Zinc Phosphide pellets
inside bait housings and I think it helped.  The bait has to be inside
something only big enough for the vole because it's poisonous to other
creatures.  The housing has 2 sections; holds water on the entry side - the
water is the attractant, not the bait.  I stopped using it only because of
what I read about the LD-50 tests done on the product.  If these things
don't bother you, you might try it.  One form is Black Leaf Gopher Killer
Poison Pellets; I'm sure there are other brands.  I got the housings from
Gardens Alive!.
