Well, now that softball and baseball are over for the year, I decided it
was time to get started on my new project at my kids' school. I am going
to be building a new garden out front on a slope near the front
stairs/entrance to the school. It is to be a teachers appreciation
garden and will have a sign designating it as such when it is done. This
is a beautiful little site, that has a scattering of large, flat
fieldstone rocks across it's surface and I really thought it would look
nice as a garden with the plants among the rocks. Until I went to clear
out the grass around the rocks and discovered that it isn't a scattering
of rocks at all...it is all rocks that is just covered over by grass and
creeping charlie. Ugh!! Now I'm going to have to dig those rocks out and
move the ones I don't want. And here I thought this would be something
easy and fairly quick to do. <Sigh!!!!>
