Mutton is the meat of a mature sheep, while lamb, I think, comes from younger animals.

Sorry, I'm dense. What's the difference between mutton and lamb?Don't much care for most beef, either; too bland, like cardboard. Favorite red meats are lamb, goat [cabrito], and mutton [which is nearly impossible to find]. > To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the > message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT > > Island Jim Southwest Florida 27.0 N, 82.4 W Hardiness Zone 10 Heat Zone 10 Minimum 30 F [-1 C] Maximum 100 F [38 C] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT-- ----------- The ice cream truck in my neighborhood plays "Helter, Skelter." -Steven Wright --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
