Congratulations Dad! Those are one of my most favorite plants in all the horticulture world. I keep a "big leaf" around even though I have to drag it in and out every winter. The flowers are just too gorgeous to do without.

Our Tibouchina [granulosa or urvilleana, I don't know which] is getting set to bloom for the first time at the plantation. We've had it for about 3 years. It had two flowers on it when we bought it at a plant fair, but it left the fair in the back of the pickup and was flowerless by the time we got home.Island Jim Southwest Florida 27.1 N, 82.4 W Hardiness Zone 10 Heat Zone 10 Sunset Zone 25 Minimum 30 F [-1 C] Maximum 100 F [38 C] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
