Times reported that the only people hurt were two or three who were scrambling to get under a table somewhere. What is that USGS site, Cyndi? I should bookmark it because we're bound to get one here one of these days.

Yep that's about 75 miles from here. Those of us on the upper floors felt it very strongly, but I ran into a few people that didn't feel it at all; if you were walking around it might not have even registered. Lasted quite a long time, it was probably 30 seconds. I was just looking at the USGS site, they've already registered 36000 people who reported feeling it. Pretty cool. http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latest.htm Cyndi -----Original Message----- From: owner-gardenchat@hort.net [o*@hort.net] On Behalf Of james singer Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2008 4:07 PM To: gardenchat@hort.net Subject: Re: [CHAT] OT - 5.8 quake in SO CA?
