Yeah, I know... except we've no wind.

Oh, when that happens we call it the wind-chill factor.

For what it's worth, NOAA says our heat index [85 degrees] is less
than our temp [87 degrees]. Weird.

Jumping! Would I had the energy. Actual is 93 degrees, with heat
index, it's 100.

I just came in fromlisting the plants in my little nursery. It's
time to start making sale tags for them for my sale next month.
Found a cartful that need to be moved up a pot size.

No fall orders for me Pam. I way-over-bought this spring, ending up
now with one vauable Coreopsis 'Cosmic Evolution' that's still in
its pot because I don't have a good spot for it yet. She's a happy
plant but not colorful like the pictures right now. In extreme heat
she comes out white; cooler weather the 3in flowers are flushed red-
violet.

Hope to hey you are right about the heat easing in this lifetime, Pam
I am jumping about in my garden. Weeding a bit here, doing a small
planting there. Perhaps getting rid of a plant and replacing it with
something I like better. Improving the soil before something new
goes in.
Near my rock garden I moved my birdbath and set it on a circle of
stones. Next to it a flat stone with a bronze sundial down on the
soil. I to
weave some small asters in between the stones of the rock garden,
the bird
bath and sun dial. It is a flat creeper with starry white blooms
named Snow
Flurries. This week I also intend to work on my tall screen of
perennials in
a raised arch along a path that I mentioned before.
Only working a couple of hours or so a morning, not much gets done.
this
coming week is to be more of the same...sigh.

Well God help me, I just placed my fall order at High Country
Gardens. 2
Grosso lavenders, 2 Kim's knee high echinaceas, 2 Eryngium 'Big
Blue' (sea
holly), 1 Arizona Sun gaillardia & 1 Firewitch dianthus. Most of
that is
for planting in chimney flue liners, pots & raised beds. One fine
day it
will be cooler here again. LOL

Anyone making fall plans yet? if so, what's on the agenda??
