I worked as a MG and loved it. Been around garden clubs and didn't like the attitude.

Bonnie, 

I'm curious. Have you checked out the garden clubs recently? Since so many 
GC members are working these days, there's much less of that old 
dowager/snooty stuff. A lot of our MGs are also involved in clubs, and they 
work their butts off in both places.
