A few months ago I purchased a Ludisia discolor because of its (unusual for an orchid) attractive foliage. It is a terrestrial orchid, and today, as I was watering it, I noticed something emerging from one of the drainage holes of its pot. Thought it was a root, until I looked more closely - it had minute leaves at the tip! Do terrestrial orchids spread by runners? What do I do now?? I know very little about orchids...any experts out there, or any ideas where I could go with my question?
