I have several cats over the years and I have had the sense that somehow
they understand that when I'm doing something they don't like to them or
trying to aid them when they are afraid - that they trust me.  They bear
with me, they sort of steel themselves because they seem to understand I
must be doing this for a good reason.  Hard to explain, but they seem to
believe that Mom knows best.
