Re: Rosa 'Paul's > now ZD

Like any group, some work harder than others, but also, some work on issues
that aren't so evident....
Our MG Nursery has the distinction of being the only garden group that has
nearly a 50/50 ratio of men and women. One man won't dig, won't pot, won't
work the sales....but he has a truck with a big trailer and a tiller. He
insists on hand mixing and screening all our potting soil which, though not
necessary, is nice. For a year now we've been discussing rabbit protection
on bed #2 since the bunnies ate all our toadlilies in there last summer. I
brought over some hoops and bird net and chicken wire for a quick fix at the
time, which is still in place because these 3 guys keep trying to build a
better mousetrap and have talked it to death. They ask me what I want (of
the 17 ideas they have) and I tell them, just do it. I won't insist on
anything since I'm not building it. In the end, all they did was make the
sides higher with landscape timbers. Seems to me that bunnies can jump.
