Wonderful, Daryl! Whenever we get really dry (relatively speaking) and rain
is forecast, I sometimes still water to prep the soil to accept the
rainwater rather than let it run off. I realize that's not possible where
water is being rationed though.
We're seeing droughts, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes - all normal
occurences - but they seem to be more frequent and more extreme.

We finally got some rain last night - about an inch and a half. A lot of
it
rolled off because the soil was so dry it was repelling water, but at
least
it's something, and some of the soil cracks are closing.
I've been hauling hoses and buckets until my knees wake me up every night.
Poor Bill would have had to deal with that, too next week while I'm gone.

As the saying goes...water, water everywhere, but not a drop at
Auralie's,
Daryl's, or Pam's house. It's just not fair, is it?
