Ohhhh.... that is interesting. I never thought of that as a way for a gas station to get cheaper gas. I just talked to my husband, who is in Indianapolis. He said it was pouring down rain there. Weather has been tough this spring!

I think it's what used to be called "dump gas." The name-brand distributor doesn't want his trucks coming back to the barn at night with their tanks half full, so they arrange to sell these small lots at discount to no-name stations. That also means that no-name gas is probably a mixture of several dumps from different distributors.

In ETN, it has been around 3.88 or 3.89. There are a couple of places where you can get gas a couple of pennies lower with a membership card.
