I have gotten away with a little but would not spray on anything you would hate to lose. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johnson, Cyndi D Civ USAF AFMC 95 CS/SCOSI" <cyndi.johnson@edwards.af.mil>

Darn it says "Do not apply as an over-the-top spray to desirable flowers, ornamentals, vegetables, shrubs or trees. Color plants or herbaceous ornamentals may be injured when transplanted into landscaped areas treated with SedgeHammer herbicide." That's where I need the control most. I guess I can spray the lawn anyway. You havetofind a licensed sprayer to order it for you. Sedge Hammer. Let meknow ifit works for you like it has for me. I still need to spray again thisyearbut last year I was ready to give up. The veggie garden looks pretty good. There is always one thing that doesn't work out each year, this year it will be the cucumbers. Apparently cucumber vines are a favored rabbit food. But I picked a basket of green beans on Sunday - the foliage is so thick I didn't realize they were that far along - I put up 18 jars of beans, woohoo! The indeterminate tomatoes have grown higher than my head (not thatI'mreal tall) and we have picked the occasional red one but the maincropis a ways off. I'm gathering zucchini daily. The peppers have big fat green peppers on them, the melon vines are rapidly conqueringterritory, the onion foliage is thinking about falling over, and I'm waiting toseehow the corn did. In our climate pollination is a little iffy, Ineverknow how it's going to turn out. I thought I had a guy lined up to help me with my weed problem outfrontbut I haven't heard from him in a week, so I'll call and see if he is still interested. I discovered much to my dismay that one of theweedygrasses out there is nut grass. I think I have every incrediblyinvasiveweed in the west! This is what comes of inattention. However thestuffthat's supposed to be there looks pretty good. The ptilotus "Joey" I started is very pretty in bloom. I put plants in several different locations to see what it likes. Doesn't get very tall but since it's happiest in a border along the sidewalk that works out nicely. I will look for it or it's relatives again. First ofsummeris here now. We had one warm rain after another with temps 7 degreesaboveaverage in June. In short, it was hot and it was humid... like a triptoMobile without getting in the car. My gardens have been the most lush they have ever been. No latefroststhis time around. Plenty of moisture and warmth. So many plants bloomedaheadof schedule and all together there is not a lot out there right now. But,Iam more of a foliage person than blooms, so all is well with me. Gene E.
