Re: impatiens substitute


I had previously seen that too, Theresa. But only the one post so I couldn't be sure it was. That's why I mentioned the possibility in my original post. Jim said he doubted it. I haven't seen any pics of its habit, just closeups of the flowers, so its hard to tell. Interestingly, when I plugged in my zip code at the Simply Beautiful site, it came up with one of the local greenhouses I was planning on checking. I realize that doesn't mean that location will carry all the SB plants, but it is worth a try. Thanks.

Can anyone suggest a similar plant I might find somewhere? I can't really tell if these are a New Guinea or walleriana type of Impatiens; I think these MGs really wanted it for the color.

Any ideas?
