ooohhh goody, cuz I never got around to planting the seeds last year. In 2007 I tried a different cherry tomato, which I liked but wanted to try this one.
I'm hoping the seeds are still viable, I didn't have any more time left to mess with a germ test. I planted 20 of each so surely I'll get something out of it.

That sounds like fun. One day I'd like to have time to go through the
Master Gardener program. I looked into here once, it was years
back, but
the classes were all the way down in Los Angeles and so was the
volunteer time. That's an hour's drive. Now even if it were close I
don't have the time. But one day...
I cleaned up the pond on Saturday, that went a lot faster than I
expected, and put the rest of my plants from High Country Garden in
the
ground. Got some weeding done in the dry garden. There's sure a lot
of
grass in there, sigh...I made a couple clear spots anyway. It got so
windy I couldn't stay out, too much dirt in my eyes.
The tomatoes and peppers are coming up in the greenhouse. Husband
got a
wild hair and decided that he could grow better tomatoes in pots
than I
can in the ground, and use much less water too. So off he went to buy
his own seeds. I'm encouraging this of course although I think he is
grossly overestimating how much water one garden bed actually uses,
and
he's going to get bored pretty quick measuring how much water he
pours
into the pots. It will be interesting to see how it goes.
Sunday started out very cold and raining and then got extremely
windy. I
dashed outside only once to put the horses in their stalls. Even the
dogs didn't want to go out there.

Sure been quiet.

Did my first 4 hours on the Master Gardener desk yesterday. Slow day
there, too--about seven phone calls and only two walk-ins. Issues de
jour seemed to be carpenter ants--hint: they're swarming now--and
fertilizing blueberries. Also got a couple of calls about our plant
sale: when? [first Saturday in May]; will we have heirloom tomatoes?
[about 40 varieties].

Kinda boring, so I read through the log to see what kind of calls
other shifts had gotten [mostly carpenter ants and blueberries] but
about a week ago someone called in for information on grafting figs.
Wish I'd gotten that call; it would've been fun.
