a 6 inch pot from the nursery usually has three 3 corms--and by the time the season really gets here, they are overgrown. caladiums are very forgiving, however; you can probably plant as many as you want in a pot. but if you plant a lot, you'll be watering them hourly in august.
i only have one growing in a pot. last year i planted a 3-corm 6-inch pot nursery buy in a 12 inch pot. they have just started to come back, so it's a bit early to tell how crowded or not they will be this year. i suspect they will be good for another year or two in that pot. then i'll divide them and start over.
