Re: OT - Wonderful web tribute to the Armed forces

Understand your point, but we have found that we can use such sites ultimately for education. For example, we maintain a courtyard garden at our public library. This garden was not only featured on our yearly "Masters' Garden Tour", but the library let us use their parking area for our MG plant sale, held in conjunction with the tour. The sale, in addition to contributing to our MG operating expenses, also proved an excellent educational opportunity for the general public.

I think the main reason we cannot count such projects is that the basis of
the MG program is education -"Helping Others Grow". We can help with these
projects so long as it is more along the lines of instruction, education.
In the long run it is probably good. We get too many calls from people who
think MGs will keep their budget low by helping out for free.

I think the garden clubs in this part of the country, for the most part,
"don't dig." It is my understanding that the City of Jackson (TN)
requested our
support in maintaining the projects.
