Yes, the bedroom was deluged because it was storming at the time. The bed is gone, along with bedding, books, rug and all sorts of things. The ceiling came mostly down because of the damage and volume of water (partly on me), as did some broken rafters that miraculously missed one of our cats who likes to sleep between us. I had awakened my husband just in time for him to be on his way down the hall to comfort the other cats while I tried to find my glasses. I move very slowly these days because I had 4 broken vertebrae this spring and summer. But none of the cats were injured, nor were we. God is good!

We are without use of the master bedroom and bath, and there are only a blue tarp and a thin sheet of clear plastic between the room and the sky, and they also had to rip up the tile floor in the bathroom and take out quite a bit of the wallboard that was wet and or damaged. 

The tree that fell was a healthy, 100' + tall tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera).  Nothing like a small tornado at 5:50 AM. :-(  Fortunately, pain had awakened me and when I heard a weird noise I grabbed my tablet which had a tab opened to the local radar feed. I've rarely seen such a blob of red coming at us like that. 

I, too hope that it can get done soon. The tree came down on July 21st and it's been a nightmare.
