But not In recent years.  Back then we didn’t have the variety of cat foods and the readily available ones had higher levels of something I can’t recall at the moment. This is what brought it on.  Better foods generally have lower levels. I’m sure your husband can diagnose it in a minute. My vet mentioned that it can happen with grey cats at 3 yrs of age but, of course other cats, too. First my Orangecat got it and years later, right on schedule my gray cat, Jack, on his 3rd birthday.
