Donna, I just checked weather.com and it does show a dip of 57 as a high on the 20th but then coming back up. High 68 for the 25th. Today and Sun are to be beautiful, sunny, about 80 for a high. I plan to get some work done outside.

I am fine Bonnie.... It finally stopped raining on Thursday and the sun
actually came out yesterday! Most of the water is down now, but we are
expecting storms again tomorrow, sigh.


Now it is the mosquitos that are the problem. You can't even stand
outside for more than a minute without someone trying to chew on you....
We have never had this problem here... an occasionaly one, but not the
masses we are seeing. Since the west nile breakout around here, this
could really be bad. I couldn't do much about the standing water on the
ground, but I have been diligently emptying anything else that was
holding water. The town was spraying, but now they are not..... sigh.


I was planning on working in the garden this weekend, but I doubt I
can..... without getting eaten alive! Although this weekend will be in
the 80's they are saying by Tuesday we will be lucky to be in the
50's..... geesh, here comes the weather rollar coaster time. Got to
figure out what plants I want to save and get them indoors.


Marge's brugs are blooming their fool heads off.... trying to decide if
I should just take cuttings or bring the whole plants in? Thoughts from
those of you who grow them?

hum.... maybe I needed to rephrase! Been praying for rain for Pam for months
now.... and wishing I could have sent some of ours down to her.


But nature seems to be - all or none- this year. Hope El Nino brings slow
soaking rains instead of downpours that just run off and cause flooding.
Although at this time, I am sure Pam would appreciate anything wet!


We currently have a few towns that closed down, another 5 inches yesterday
which came down in an hour and half.... on top of a week long daily rain
spurts- just no where for the water to go anymore as the ground is
saturated. The street infront of where I work has been flooded since
Monday.... sigh. Interesting that north of here, where the official water
records (airports) are kept, only got like a qtr inch....

I'm so excited, that means we will get RAIN!   Last El Nino year we got
almost 60 inches, about double the normal annual total.   I know it may
not
be good news for everyone, but it is the best news we could get here.
We can get the lakes filled back up and the ranchers can get a hay
crop planted.
I'm so happy I could bust.  There is finally an end in sight to all
this

months of watering!  Should mean a milder winter for the Northeast
too, great news for those of you heating your homes w/ fuel oil.  I'm
headed out
to the yard to move a hose and do a happy dance!   It also cuts down on
hurricanes too which is good news for everyone on the coasts!  Woo hoo.
