Re: list

I haven't been getting home from work until 6:30 p.m. Then I'm off to the races trying to feed everybody and get the dogs walked before dark. After I fix my dinner and eat it's after 8 -- like now. I have until about 8:30 to read e-mail then it's off to the shower then to bed. I get up at 5, and the whole thing starts all over again. It's a good thing I really love this job. <LOL> I'm still astonished at how gratifying it is to just play with plants all day long.

I don't participate much but sure enjoy hearing about what other people are working on. Here it is still very warm (85-90) and very dry, horrible air quality though no local fires at the moment, and am spending time watering just to try to keep things alive till the rains start. I have holes dug for new shrubs but haven't bought most of them and will wait a little longer till planting. My yard is currently on the daily path of a doe and fawn who drink all the cats water, but can't find much to eat here as I have deer net and Liquid Fence all over everything. Once it gets wetter they don't bother to come up here.

Busy or exhausted, I guess, Barb. I asked Donna the same question yesterday. It is strange, methinks.

I just planted 2 species peonies and NOW it occurs to me to ask if the planting depth of the eyes for species peonies is the same as for garden cultivars. I placed the eyes about an inch below the surface.
