Hmm- new problem. Most pluots need a pollinator. Has anyone tried the 3 trees in 1 hole planting method? Does this really work?? Is it a better or worse options that a multigrafted tree?

You might look at some online catalogs for ideas. Bay Laurel nursery, they're in Atascadero, (http://www.baylaurelnursery.com/) seems nice - I got some good advice from them over the phone when I was choosing a peach tree. Or there's Raintree, I like looking at their catalog (http://www.raintreenursery.com/). If it were me I'd try citrus, but that's just my frustrated desire for a lemon tree popping up again. So- now I'm on the hunt for a new fruit tree. Something that stays relatively small, has yummy fruit, and wants to be in my overly warm climate. Kind of wondering is something semitropical might make it here?? Ideas?? Jim- any input? Maybe a loquat? Would an avacado grow here (or do they just get huge?)
