Hi, Yvonne,

    The USDA publishes a huge list on just this every few years ( or perhaps
only once a decade? ), sales figures by category. The latest one is from
1998 I believe. They are always published years late it seems. There's  data
on sales nationwide and state by state. So, for example, in Michigan in
1998, 24 operations sold $187,000 worth of strawberry plants, and 29
operations there sold 1,581,000 "other small fruit plants,"  for a grand
total of $1,448,000. I assume these were blackberries, blueberries and so
forth.
    But all this data is available from the 1998 Census of Horticultural
Specialties.
