Re: Cedar & Cocoa Bean Mulches

Cocoa mulch killed my collie

On the cedar front - it isn't available here but the most commonly
available bark mulch is pine which I've found slows up slugs when it
is fairly new, though they rapidly colonise it as it breaks down. And
since that segment of the microherd that eats bark mulch increases
over time if you use it regularly it breaks down much more quickly
when you've been using it for a few years. My microherd can get
through two inches of bark mulch in three months in a wet summer.
