Re: My Monet Weigela

Daryl,

I, too, am sad to report terrible luck w/My Monet. I've had no less than 5 or 6 in various parts of my zone 5/6 garden and none have done well. Only one has made it through until this spring and that one is in pretty paltry shape. I've even covered some w/nursery pots their first winter to nurse them along, but to no avail. Yet Doreen has been able to get them to go in her colder 4b zone.

I'm convinced it has to do with soil pH and/or drainage and/or micronutrients, not just growing zone. I'm sure Danielle is "listening in," so I'd be more than interested in whatever wisdom she has to add to this dialogue.
