Many mail clients support RSS feeds as well.  Outlook users can add RSS feeds
this way, for example (or so this Linux user is told):

   http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/subscribe-to-an-rss-feed-HA010355679.aspx

I have a Zimbra mail server for my email, so I use its Web interface to
read my mail and aggregate my RSS feeds. 

And don't forget that your saved Google searches can be fed to you via RSS as 
well...
