Problems militating against vegetable gardening are big ugly houses on
little tiny lots, and idiotic covenants against growing anything but grass
in a subdivision. Many younger people thirst for basic information on
gardening, and they are learning fast. Some are raising everything but
eyebrows in containers. Perhaps information on setting up a community
garden would be a good January column. Margaret Lauterbach
