Re: [GWL]: Can o worms & gnats
Jeff -- I had a worms composting in a big Tupperware bin in my kitchen for
about three years. I never had flies, but lots of shocked looks when
answering guests' questions about what's in the bin...I got my red worms from
a bait shop...actually started the bin as a class project when I was teaching
about composting.
I really didn't even churn it that much, just buried kitchen scraps in the
pile...worked really well, I thought. Very clean.
Got rid of it because I got tired of moving the bin...I composted outdoors
the whole time I had the worms working and continue to do that.
