Re: [GWL]: Lifes work on Hydrangea/Timber Press
Timber Press is very good for highly specialized books - they have a lot of
them. However, you don't take a book to them with the idea of getting rich,
or even much of an income. That is, with such highly specialized books,
they do small print runs, so the return is small. Unless the book suddenly
catches on, the way the book on Hostas did, an author doesn't make much more
than the advance. They do beautiful work, though, and they keep the books
in their catalog a long time, so chances are good the runs sell out
eventually.
