Re: SunPatiens
It's only Impatiens capensis that is used herbally as an antidote to
poison ivy and other plant-induced rashes. Luckily it's generally
found growing within few feet of poison ivy.
If you've come in contact with poison ivy (or okras spines, stinging
nettle - or have gotten insect bites or athlete's foot!) merely crush
the leaves or take the juice from the stem and rub it on the affected
area as soon as possible. It evidently contains a natural fungicide
and works better for me than anything I've found commercially.
