Thanks for fixing this, Doreen. I just want to emphasize that LinkedIn
doesn't grab your address book and send spam. It just makes it easy for you
to access your address book and invite people in your address book to join
LinkedIn. I won't spend time here explaining LinkedIn, but it's worth
checking out--it's a way for professionals to network online and it would be
great for garden writers. Thanks to Dee, I've found several of my garden
writer friends on LinkedIn.

If spam is such a problem on the listserv, why not migrate this to more
modern technology, like a Google Group or, for that matter, a LinkedIn or
Facebook group? They all seem to allow full control over privacy, etc, and
I'm pretty sure they all allow the choice of a much more user-friendly
web-based interface or email subscription.

And I'll be at GWA too--I talked my way onto the blogger panel at the last
minute--see you there!

All best,

Amy
