Jim and I go way back to the days when we both worked for major seed  
companies on the west coast. On one occasion, which I will always remember, we  
were both scheduled to speak at a meeting in San Francisco, along with a 
fellow  seedsman of British persuasion, from a company on the west coast. With 
his usual  tact he said that he would speak first. Jim and I looked at each 
other and with  a good level of no you won't, we told the Brit that Jim would 
speak first, I  would speak second, and he could have what is left .

The world of  horticulture is a smaller place with Jim Wilson  gone.
