Velvia film
Velvia 50 forced me to carry a 15-pound tripod wherever I went (a big percent of my airline luggage allowance), but in the days of film, it was worth it! Having said that, I agree with Larry: "shooting digitally (on a Nikon D200) and not looking back..."
