scanner

I have just updated to a new computer with Windows 7 and find it will not  
support my old HP Series 4400 scanner. The scanner is a flat bed and slide  
scanner. I don't use the flat bed much, but I do use the slide scanner part  
since I have hundreds of slides from over the years, and a slide of dahlia  
flowered zinnias taken in 1990 is as good as one taken yesterday.

Any good info out there on moderately priced slide scanners available on  
the market?

Any help will be appreciated.
