Title: Taking photos
Question -- I am asked more and more often to give talks on various topics which I am happy to oblige but I scramble around for visual images.  I am most impressed when I see someone give a talk and they have the exact right visual images (usually slides) to illustrate their points, even though the slides were taken ten years earlier on a trip to who knows where and ages before the person ever expected to give a talk on that topic.

So how do you manage to take photos in anticipation that some day, you might want to give a talk on something.

This is particularly of interest to me right now as my SO and I are planning a trip to Italy in late Spring and I want to optimize my garden visits.  How do I think about photos???
