[GWL]: Virus hoax
Before anybody goes bananas with this one - there's a new computer *hoax*
sweeping the Net. Most folks are sensitive to this after the badtrans stuff
of the past few weeks.
If you get a message re "sulfnbk.exe warning" it is a hoax!
The viral "warning" says to try to find sulfnbk.exe (it gives directions)
and then delete it. The kicker is that this is a real ms systems file that
you'll easily find and you would be deleting a systems file. The file
apparently reads longer file names or some such systems thing.
Good trick! :-) Tell folks to find a virus file and they do - then they
erase a perfectly good file. Wierd sense of humour but good trick. Now
you're warned.
