I have to second Andrew on this one. I once worked for a company that
supplied plants for a number of retail outlets - from some very
reputable ones down to the infamous Michigan Bulb Company. And customers
from the reputable nurseries praised the quality of the bulbs and plants
- but we all know what many MBC customers said.

I had to conclude that the problem was not with the supplier so much as
the end place - where things weren't tended properly or stored in
optimal conditions.
