I'm not a seedsman - Rob Johnston or Rose Marie Nichols McGee should pipe up
here. HOWEVER, having worked with trying to germinate stored seeds of
perennials, I know that it's just plain hard to get new supplies of
everything all the time, so it SEEMS like T&M could easily have a lot of
seed that is older than it should be, simply because they can't get new seed
all that often. If they are having financial problems, the problem could be
exaggerated. I'm NOT saying they ARE having problems, only that given how
many other companies are, it's not impossible.
