Re: [GWL]: garden writing

I have been sitting in the bushes following this decrease in interest in newspaper gardening thread. As a horticultural professional and gardening communicator in newspaper, radio and television I can tell you that a good newspaper article is still tops on a regional basis. For example Jeff L. in Anchorage Alaska (GWAA) wrote a single article which produced a great effect on sales. It was concise and honest ( Take Note). Our customers orders conformed closely to Jeff's suggestions.  The same article is out there on the Web but no one is quoting it as their source. If this is an indicator of gardening in Alaska then New Jersey should give up the title of Garden State. Remember that Jeff is also organizing the add on trip to Anchorage after the Seattle GWAA Symposium next year.  For all those of you who attended the Orlando Symposium Jeff got the information there, from me, for this great article.  Yes, I am the nice young man Jeff refers to in the article.
