I agree wholeheartedly with Tom.
Often the people I've stayed with have had fantastic gardens themselves
(photo ops) and/or show me other gardens (and gardeners) of interest in the
area (more photo ops and article possibilities). As an at-home freelancer,
there's nothing worse (and I agree, Tom, Lonely) than being in a hotel that
is away from the city, without a car, no shuttle service, and dependent on
someone to pick me up the next day for a speaking engagement. I have enough
time on my own, and travel is to meet new people and share experiences. I'd
rather stay in a B&B than a hotel.
