Thanks, Nancy, for the news about Marty Figley. Not only was she a longtime GWA member, but she attended the annual symposiums regularly for many years, too. A delightful person. I missed her in Raleigh.

I am sorry to announce long time GWA member and garden writer Marty  
Figley passed away the day before Thanksgiving.
Marty was a garden writer and weekly columnist for the Observer and  
Eccentric Newspapers in southeast Michigan for many years.
