When I questioned (grilled) Scott Aker about these awards a year or so ago 
when he was in charge of them, he told me not to expect much to change and 
that they are primarily a fund-raising device for GWA.   Not surprisingly, 
my questions/suggestions for change echoed perfectly the ones Graham just 
raised.  That catch-all electronic category makes no sense at all; nor does 
the $100 entry fee for someone like a blogger.  In the digital era GWA 
awards are increasingly irrelevant.
